Hi Seoul Festival

This weekend was the Hi Seoul Festival all around the city. On Saturday we went to an Arts market around one of the palaces. Then we discovered a sculpture exhibit called Art Safari that was pretty cool. We also went in to the palace and walked around.

After the palace we walked to Insadong on the road above the riverwalk. Below is a picture taken in Insadong, a cultural area in Jongno of Seoul.

Thomas and Josh / Jamie and Leslie

Sunday we met up with Josh and Jamie and got to ride a hot air balloon! We got ushered to the front of the line like celebrities and it was free! It was pretty exciting, even though it only lasted about 5 minutes.

Us in the Balloon!

This week has flown by. We've joined the gym and are trying to get in shape for the summer. This weekend we're going to Incheon on the coast. Maybe we can get a tan!

We're all bad

I don't know how else to say it except that I am my father's son. Through my reading and study of Scripture I too have become a reformed baptist (it's not an oxymoron and to the contrary our camp is growing...so beware). Some of my favorite authors and speakers on the subject are R.C. Sproul, Al Mohler, and John Piper. I really enjoy John Piper. I have found it hard to find good english preaching while here in Korea so I have been subscribing to a lot of podcasts. Piper's is one of my favorites. I have also been heavily influenced by several of his books namely Let the Nations be Glad, and Desiring God and next month I am going to start God is the Gospel. Anyway. Enough intro, the following is a crazy little video that will make other reformed Piper fans laugh.
