Parenting Prep and Christmas Video

Weeks ago, when Leslie first told me she was pregnant I took the news like a good Masai, quite stoic and brave. Then when I was alone I began to think about how unprepared I am and how little I know about fatherhood. I went online and began to research good books to read. I am sure to read more but at the end of my initial research I ended up choosing three resources, Gospel Powered Parenting by William Farley and Pastor Dad by Mark Driscoll (for me) and The Jesus Storybook Bible (Deluxe Edition) by Sally Lloyd-Jones (for the kid). You can read a review of Gospel Powered Parenting, here and a review of The Jesus Storybook Bible, here. This is of course only the beginning of my study and preparation for parenthood but I thought you might like to check them out. Post any other books or resources you have found helpful in the comment section and I will look into them.

Since the Christmas season is upon us I thought I would post this little video. It is one of the resources available with the Jesus Storybook Bible.

I'm no expert in parenting, but I'm taking 'Counseling Parents and Children' this semester. I really enjoyed "Shepherding a Child's Heart." Great read.
